Free Word/Doc to Pdf Converter&Creator is a conversion tool intended to create universally accepted PDF files from Microsoft Word documents - including Word 2007 files – in any of the different formats it supports. The program is designed to do its job quickly and in a simple way.
When you run the program, nevertheless, you have to explicitly choose that you want to run its free version, because you are also allowed to choose a "share" version, which is a strange thing taking into account that the developer's website provides two different downloadable versions - this “free” version, and a full-featured one.
The program interface is light and easy to use. It consists of a single window where you have direct access to all the functions it provides. You can set the output folder for your resulting PDF files, convert only selected pages of your Word document, decide whether to convert the document's text as editable PDF text, and establish the resulting page size, among other options.
Unfortunately, this supposedly free version of the program does not really behave like one, which makes you believe that it is nothing but a trial version. It is constantly insisting you to buy the program, what is not what you would expect from a free tool. Even when you close the program, it shows a window that is ready to take all the necessary information to perform an online buy. It is also very important to know that this program demands to have the Microsoft Office Word package installed on your system; otherwise the PDF generation will never take place. |
